Preparations for the festival are in full swing. The backfield of Bear Country is alive with activity as each group puts the finishing touches on their booths. There is laughter in the air again and for the first time in a while it feels like everyone has something to look forward to. After everything we’ve been through these past few weeks, I have a feeling, this year’s festival is going to be one of the best we’ve ever had.
Hemi and Matt stopped by today to return the fuel that had been taken. Hemi told me she is trying to return everything her brother and his gang stole from the other groups. She looked genuinely sorry and she said she wanted to make it right after all the trouble he caused.
I invited the people from Central to join us for the festival. There isn’t any reason they shouldn’t be welcome. It’s probably too late for them to organize a booth of their own, but I told Hemi to let everyone know that if they wanted to come, they’re invited. Festivals are meant to bring people together, and perhaps this one can be the beginning of something better for all of us.
