Journal Entry 46

Joshua dropped by to see if I knew who might want to scare his cattle. At first, I thought he was mad at me but he was just frustrated from trying to chase down cattle rustler all night long. I told him I didn’t have a clue. He said whoever it was they were trying to scatter the cattle. One of his tribe members was seriously injured in the night. I can’t think of anyone that would want to make trouble for the Spurs. As far as I can tell everyone is pretty much happy they are here. The Spurs have been excellent guest and hosts on numerous occasions. I believe the Spurs are an asset to Bear Country. I told Joshua I would ask around and see if I could come up with any information that might help him find his cattle rustlers.

I am thinking that Matt and Hemy have solved their living arrangement problems. They both had smiles on their faces from ear to ear all day long. Pete, several of his deputies and Jonas went out to the Spurs campsite to see if they could lend a hand. I have been having a very good day with Aleece. We went to the basement to thank Tony for his assistance in the middle of the night. He said it was not a problem. I asked him how he knew what to do and he said his mother had taught him long ago. I was going to ask him more questions but he didn’t look as if he wanted to go into any further detail.
